The installation establishes a place in an otherwise nondescript corridor.

Comprised of two complementary systems -- a rational 2x framework and diagonal 1x bracing -- the installation is a metaphor for education.

Held in place only by friction only, the rational framework wedges itself in the corridor. Gaskets and bumpers protect the existing walls and finishes from incidental damage.

By preventing racking, the seemingly chaotic 1x bracing stabilizes the framework.

Together, the two operate as one.
